About Us

Peter Barry, a lifetime local of Long Island, founded Vineyard Vans in 2021 and officially started transacting business and providing transportation in May of 2022. He lived half of his weeks out on the east-end after meeting the girl of his dreams one New Years Eve night and started seriously dating her in February of 2018. His now wife grew up on The North Fork and showed him everything she loved about this beautiful place, After meeting her and seeing how special she was, he knew The North Fork was where he wanted to be.

Peter worked for his family business from as early as 2009 until his parents retired from their professional careers in 2021. Outside of servicing his family business customers, Peter is no stranger to the service industry, as he worked as a Caddie from the summer of 2006 until 2012, for a restaurant and pizzeria while he was attending college upstate, and also was a part-time client associate for a financial group mostly specializing in 401K preparation for mid-sized companies.

Some of Peter's hobbies include taking walks with his wife, spending time with friends, exploring new places and cuisine on Long Island and beyond, and although it has been a little while, playing basketball is one of his favorite physical activities.
